My Dragon life
From my darkened dreams as I slowly awake
I sit and watch myself reflected on the glassy lake
I flap my wings with their glorious span
I watch the sun appear across the hilly land
Swooping down for a last drink
before I spread my wings
I lift myself into the blood red sky
I take my aim at the sunrise
I fly across misty lakes and nestled towns
I gaze upon all the people that scurry around
I fly past all this I see
sailing through the air like a ship on the sea
I ward you away with my fiery breath
the glare in my eye, see my heart pound in my chest
For I am dragon my free spirit shines like a million fireflies
I am great glory this soul of mine
So as you watch me from down below
there is one thing I wish of you to know
Don’t you wish you could be me
without one single care, so wild and free
The majestic dragon that floods the morning sky
higher, higher towards the sun I climb
